Professional Spa Therapist Diploma CurriculumElmcrest College, through its association with the Elmwood Spa and local & international involvement with the spa & wellness industry, understands what it takes to be successful in the esthetics field and incorporates this understanding throughout all training programs. As a result, the Professional Spa Therapist program is much more then just an esthetics program. In addition to courses that teach proper techniques in manicure/pedicure, facials, waxing, cosmetology and make-up artistry, Elmcrest College teaches advanced modalities such as hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, relaxation massage, mud and seaweed wraps, salt glows and human anatomy. Our unique Introduction to Business course covers career & professional development (communications, résumé writing & interview skills) as well as an introduction to the spa industry. Our Student Clinic gives you practical experience so you’re work-ready when you graduate. In total, the program is 1120 hours in length with 245 hours devoted to student clinic. The program can be taken full-time over a 10-month period (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) or half-a-day each day over a 1- month period. Choose either the morning program from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Contact our Admissions Department for further details on our part-time programs and schedules.
