Entrance Requirements

To be eligible for admission into our Massage Therapy Diploma program, applicants must provide documentation of successful completion of the following:

• Grade 12 High School Diploma or its equivalent
  
• One of Grade 11, 12 or OAC Advanced Level Science Credits (Biology, Kinesiology, Chemistry, or Physics) is strongly recommended
  
• English Proficiency must be demonstrated through an English comprehension test if English is not the applicant’s first language
  

Pre-Admissions/Introduction to Massage Therapy Course

All applicants to the Massage Therapy Diploma Program are required to take Elmcrest’s Pre-Admissions – Introduction to Massage Therapy Course prior to commencing the Massage Therapy Diploma Program, and receive a mark or 75% or greater. For complete details click here

Mature Students

A candidate who does not fulfil the requirement of a High School Diploma but is 21 years of age or older as of the first official day of classes, or is 19 years of age and has been out of school for one year, may apply as a Mature Student. However, they must also meet the minimum science credits prerequisite and take one “Biology for the Health Sciences” upgrading course on-line or at a local community college and achieve a mark of 80% or greater. Those students intending to apply to the program as Mature Students will be required to successfully complete the Canadian Tests of Basic Skills Level 17/18 and achieve a mark of 75%. You should schedule an appointment with our Admissions Officer to receive a list of recommended upgrading courses and to discuss your case.
