Curriculum for Full-time Massage Therapy Diploma Program

One of the goals of Elmcrest College is to prepare our students for success at the Provincial Registration Examinations held with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). The CMTO examination consists of 1) a multiple choice computer-administered examination and 2) a clinical examination in which the applicant performs hands-on treatments and is marked by CMTO examiners. This exam is called the Objectively Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Throughout the four terms at Elmcrest College , students are tested in clinical exam situations that follow the principles of OSCE. In term 4, there are several weeks of intensive practice so that students develop a comfort level in demonstrating all the techniques and treatments they have learns in an OSCE format.

We believe the individual and personal attention that our students receive in our classes, capped at 24 students, is a key contributor to each student's success at the provincial exams.
